Auditions for enrolment in our various performing arts programmes are held towards the end of each year. Auditions for 2017 have been held already. If additional auditions sessions are held they will be listed here.

Where will the audition take place?
Whitireia Performance Centre, 25 Vivian Street, Wellington.
When will the audition take place?
Auditions usually occur in the final months of the year. This year, auditions are running in the month of October.
What can you do if you want to audition earlier than this or if you can’t make that date?
We welcome a visit from you at any time. Just follow the "How to Book" information below.
What kind of audition will it be?
You will be doing a group workshop, followed by a short interview. The tutors will take you through some exercises in Māori, Samoan, Cook Islands and Contemporary New Zealand dance. After the workshop the staff will have a chat with you. If you are coming in prior to the audition, we will ask you to take part in a normal class.
What are we looking for at the audition?
A passion for dance, a determination to succeed plus – musicality, physicality, rhythm, co-ordination, body awareness, vocal ability and a ‘can do’ attitude. You also need to have University Entrance.
What should you bring to the audition?
Comfortable, stretchy clothes, lavalava/pāreu, a water bottle, a towel and lots of enthusiasm. Please bring your curriculum vitae.
