Whitireia New Zealand Limited (WNZL) is a Private Training Establishment that incorporates four subsidiaries
It is comprised of four former PTEs: the Wellington Performing Arts Company, acquired in 2009; the New Zealand Radio Training School, acquired in 2010; Computer Power Plus, acquired in April 2012; and The New Zealand Film and Television School, acquired in July 2012. Each acquisition has been a complementary strategic fit for Whitireia with WNZL students gaining access to Whitireia expertise and resources to assist them in achieving their academic goals.
Computer Power Plus is a specialist IT training provider with campuses in Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch. Industry recognised and practical qualifications are offered in a unique self-directed learning environment. Students study on campus following a personalised schedule agreed to at enrolment.
More than 90% of eligible graduates have been successfully placed into employment within the IT industry. Computer Power Plus works closely with a large network of IT employers and as a result can offer an exceptional level of support to graduates in this area.
All programmes are New Zealand Qualifications Authority approved and are available at certificate and diploma levels. All diplomas offer training towards globally recognised IT vendor certifications.

The New Zealand Film and Television School is one of the only industry-run schools of its kind in New Zealand. It is unique with its visiting tutor programme where tutors come into the school direct from industry to teach all there is to know about film. With the shift to digital, the Film School boasts a state-of-the-art Arri-Alexa camera for training and filming projects, a high-end digital camera closest to 35mm film and in line with cinema and feature filmmaking.
Located in Wellington city, the Film School offers students a one year, full-time, Certificate in Introduction to Film and Television Production.
The Film School's aim is to turn out the producers, directors and technical crews of the future; graduates who are well prepared to make a career in film and/or television. As a testament to the high calibre expected from students, end of year films produced by students have screened internationally at film festivals, and at the New Zealand International Film Festival.
The New Zealand Radio Training School is located in our Wellington and Auckland city campuses and offers complete hands-on training in radio. Owned by Whitireia New Zealand Limited, the New Zealand Radio Training School is one of the most respected radio training schools in New Zealand.
Students study in classrooms and purpose-built studios designed to provide a complete radio experience. Professional tutors, all with comprehensive backgrounds in radio, offer students highly interactive learning opportunities through practical hands-on study.
