The library at Whitireia provides access to a large number of high-quality resources including print, audio-visual and online materials

Library staff are available to help you access these collections and the collections of other libraries. They will explain how books are borrowed and issued. You must hold a current student identification card to borrow material from the library.

You will be shown how to use up-to-date information technology to access the academic resources you need to complete your course work. You can get assistance to use the online computer catalogue, the databases, intranet and internet, and to obtain texts relevant to your course of study or particular assignment.

You can book time with our librarians to assist you to develop your independent research and learning skills and obtain the reference material and information you need to complete your assignments.

Library collections are held at Porirua, Auckland and Kāpiti campuses. The collections at all campuses are treated as one and you may borrow from any of them.

We are currently selling the leftover stock from the Poly Shop at the helpdesk in the library. All stock is being sold at a massive 50% discount. Please note transactions are Eftpos only.
