The Whitireia Foundation 2019 Scholarship Application Guide

The Whitireia Foundation is pleased to offer a number of scholarships to domestic students who are planning to study at Whitireia New Zealand in 2019. The scholarships provide financial assistance for tuition fees unless otherwise specified.

The Foundation would like to acknowledge the ongoing support of their sponsors:

Brittons House Movers Ltd - $2,500

Awarded to a student studying on a Trades programme.

Jujnovich Family - $1,500

Awarded to a Māori student from the Wellington region who is studying Nursing.

Campbell Family - $1,000

Awarded to a student who has overcome adversity in some way.

Kirk-Burnnand Family - $2,500

To be used for one or more scholarships at the discretion of the trustees.

Foster + Melville Architects - $3,000

Scholarship comprises of a Macbook Pro and software.

LT McGuinness Ltd - $2,000

Awarded to a student studying on a Trades programme as well as an opportunity to gain work experience.

Compass Health - $3,000

Awarded to 2nd and 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing Māori and Bachelor of Nursing Pacific students.

Porirua City Council - $2,500

Scholarship for a recent school leaver from any College within Porirua.

Controlled Building Services Ltd $1,500

Awarded to a student who lives in Porirua.

Sheppard Family - $2,500

Awarded to a student already sponsored by the Sheppard Family who are completing Years 2 and 3 of their nursing degree, subject to satisfactory annual review.

Derek Wootton Memorial Trust - $3,000

For Porirua-based students studying Paramedics or Trades.

Red Wolf Security - $2,000

Scholarship to go towards the study fees of a student studying either Electrical Engineering or Applied Computing.

EFTPOS Vending Ltd - $2,500

Awarded at the discretion of the trustees.

Nikau Trust - $3,000

Scholarships to go towards fees of students who are residents of Porirua and will experience financial hardship in undertaking their study.

Elite Services - $2,500

Awarded to a student studying on a Nursing, Paramedicine, Social Work or Community programme.

Fuji Xerox New Zealand - $2,500

Scholarships to be awarded at the discretion of the Trustees.

Ford Sumner Lawyers - $1,500

Awarded to one or more applicants studying community related degree programmes such as Social Work.

Whitireia Foundation

Two scholarships to be awarded at the discretion of the trustees.

Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors - $1,500

Towards the study fees of a student studying a Bachelor of Pacific Nursing.

Whitireia Foundation/Ngāti Toa

One scholarship for a student of Ngāti Toa descent.
