Research Speciality: My current research interests include equity market, tax imputation and behavioural finance. Currently I am working on a research paper on DRP underwriting under Australian tax imputation in collaboration with Associate Professor Alastair Marsden (Department of Accounting and Finance, University of Auckland) and James Lau of Macquarie University, Australia. I am also working on a research paper on the announcement effect of Brexit on the New Zealand Stock Market, using the event study method.
Mathew is both a finance professional and an econometrician having many years of experience in teaching, research and financial/industrial consultancy. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Department of Accounting and Finance, the University of Auckland. He has a number of publications to his credit in reputed journals, and his research interests include tax imputation, equity market and behavioural finance.
