Programme Overview

The New Zealand Certificate in Hospitality (Level 2) is a 12 week, fees-free programme on which students gain the practical knowledge and skills to begin working in the hospitality industry or explore further study.

Our campuses have on-site, purpose-built training cafés equipped with espresso machines and baking facilities. Hospitality students provide café  mornings to paying customers with this practical, hands-on experience ensure that they are work ready.

Programme Outline

Customer Service

Gain skills in team work, self management, customer service and communication. Then put this into practice on café days, catering to a diverse range of customers.

Food Safety

Gain the skills and knowledge to meet the health and safety requirements needed in the hospitality sector.

Food and Beverage Preparation

Learn food and beverage preparation and service. Gain experience and skills in taking customer orders, operating espresso machines and other equipment in our on-site training café.

Work Preparation

Prepare for working in the hospitality café service area by gaining the skills required in our on-site training café.
