Programme overview
Te Hiringa o Te Reo is a language resource designed specifically for those who are interested in learning basic Māori language but have limited opportunities to attend regular language classes.
This language resource pack consists of recordings on a USB flash drive and a workbook that participants can work through at their own pace.
A team of first-language speakers have put this resource pack together to provide a basic understanding of te reo Māori. The programme also includes a selection of well-known waiata and karakia.
Entry criteria
- Students must provide verified Identification of either a Birth Certificate or Passport.
- An interest in the Māori language and a commitment to learning.
Further study options
You can then choose to do a part-time or full-time programme to explore reo Māori further.
